a day in the life of miss creme... (:

A day in the life of Creme...

Eat her veggies...

Put her paws in the bowl like a dog...

Put the stick in her mouth and carry it from Point A to Point B... Fun! She's really a dog trapped in a rabbit's body! It's very amusing when she does that.

Groom Baby when she's free... She takes pride in it ya... (:

After 5 minutes... Look at Baby's most satisfied look... Envious huh?
After 10 minutes... Now Baby looks so shy and embarrassed... Haha...
And... then 'stone' when she's feeling tired...

What a day! (:

gifted rabbit=gracie

I wondered for a long time why parents insist on sending their kids for the screening test this coming Saturday when all they have been doing since P1 was to fail their exams! Hmmm... were they actually thinking that their kids were 'gifted' enough to fail the exams at a mainstream school but pass the papers for gifted kids with flying colours? It kinda doesn't make sense to me...

Until... I realise that the same thing applies to my rabbits...

Cos I think my rabbits are gifted...

I mean... only Gracie is gifted cos she understands what I say.

Watch this video.

treats!
But then there's no sound... so you can't tell that Gracie is gifted!!!! Argh! I will find a way to prove that my Gracie is gifted...

I also managed to lure Baby to stand on his hind legs. Creme and him are the most dog-like bunnies I know cos they lick and love to follow you everywhere you go. They are the most KPO bunnies I ever know. Always up to mischief too.

Sigh... I should have trained him to do it a year ago... or it would be him in the ad for AVA instead of Woody and Landy. They tried to make him stand on his hind legs at the studio but he refused to cos he was busy trying to pick up the 'girls' at the studio! Argh. That's Woody and Landy in the ad for AVA below.

Oh ya... and do remember to vote for the ad here...

vote!

Got to get some sleep now... Nitez...

Happy Belated National Day!!

Ooppss... I haven't been updating about them for quite some time now. Work has been crazy and I am shifting to my new place sometime in September. Told the 4 that they would be going to live in a new place soon. Hope to bond all 4 at the new place! Hehe... Wish me luck!

Anyway, it was National Day yesterday. Not that they knew. But thinking that, life for a Singaporean rabbit is really tough. Living with so many misconceptions about them... for e.g. rabbits eat only carrots, they can be picked up by the ears... they love the sun, the sand and the sea and therefore can be set free... blah-blah-blah... it seems like they have never really changed people's perceptions of them, 10 years ago and 10 years on, so to speak...

But I guess being part of HRSS has helped in a way. You realise that you can do more to improve the welfare of animals, generally speaking, in Singapore. They are still treated like second-class citizens here. They are being discarded irresponsibly when they reach their you-aint-that-cute-anymore date. I believe more can be done to educate people to behave responsibly towards their pets.

A Singaporean rabbit has to put up with the lack of space that we can have for them. Most of us live in small apartments. We hardly have space for ourselves, so what can we say for our 4-legged friends? He has to put up with the weather, warm all year round. And if you are a long-haired Singaporean rabbit, good luck!
But I know my 4 babies at home are lucky. They have an owner who dotes on them like crazy. They get mad at me for disturbing them at times.. Hehe.. They have friends to bully and toys to play with. Life is good for them, I hope. :)
Happy National Day, babies!
