Christmas eve...

Chai is leaving sunny Singapore for Melbourne in a few hours' time. She's moving to aussieland, uprooted her entire family to move over there to see if life is going to be better there. Not that life isn't better here, but it's always good to try something new for the kids to see if the system there might suit them better...

I will miss her loads. I have known her since I first started teaching almost 14 years ago. She and I go way back to those days when we were still rookies in a new school. She was brave, dedicated, committed to her job and was and still is a very good friend to me.

Sigh... when I first knew about it, it felt weird. I didn't know what it meant... I thought maybe she wasn't serious... maybe she was just thinking about it... maybe she would still stay on... I was still hoping very hard that she would stay on cos she was the one who would always look out for me in school and in my life... she was like a friend whom I could trust in the school who will not talk behind my back unlike some 'gossipy' colleagues in school who had nothing better to do but discuss about your private life behind your back.

She's a great friend and I will surely miss her...

Here's the empty table where all her things used to occupy. I would always walk down that narrow aisle and shout for her name to go for lunch with me...

I hope that everything goes well for her and that her family will settle down in Melbourne nice and happy. Here's wishing her all the best...

That's her wearing the new pair of sunglasses all of us bought for her. Nice huh? :)

Rabbits

That's Teri, Esther's pet terrapin. I was pet-sitting him a couple of days when the whole family went to Genting for a holiday. He was a cute and shy little fellow. He would hide in his shell when I put my hand in. He would struggle like crazy to get out only to be turned upside down, four paws in the air and then he would turn himself back again! Hahaha.. what a cool terrapin!

Anyway, Creme is well again! She didn't tear at all for the past 2 weeks. I think she misses Dr Heng, that's why :)

Shopping

Lee Cheng, Esther and I went absolutely crazy one afternoon during the hols and we each bought ourselves a nice Gucci bag. That is mine below. Let's not talk about the price... I like it... :) My next big purchase would be the Tag Heur watch worn by Uma Thurman. Nice! The bling is enough to blind you!

I also bought 3 pairs of shoes, 4 dresses, a few blouses and a skirt. That's quite enough for the hols. I also renewed my mani-pedi package which I didn't know why. I guess I was so attracted by the nice nails which I saw the other day on my feet when I went for my session at Strip Co-ed. Hmmm... Finally made appointment for my facial and massage too. My new year resolution would be to finish up all the packages which I have signed up for!

In case I don't get to blog before the new year...

Here's wishing one and all... Merry X'mas and a Happy New Year!

Missing Ollie...

Rabbits

I was watching some stuff at Youtube when I came across this girl's video about her cat which had passed away. I thought about my Ollie and I felt so sad that I cried.

I still think a lot about him. It breaks my heart everytime when I think about how he struggled to meet me that day at the vet. I was so happy to see him and yet my heart was aching cos he was suffering and I couldn't do anything about it. That was the last time I saw him. I haven't spent enough time with you, Ollie. I miss you so much, pal... You have been the sweetest baby I've ever had... Kind, generous and big-hearted... I miss you...

'If you wait for me then I'll come for you
Although I've travelled far
I always hold a place for you in my heart
If you think of me
If you miss me once in a while
Then I'll return to you
I'll return and fill that space in your heart .'

new post for december...

Rabbits

Creme isn't that good :( Her eye is still tearing. Dr Heng says it could be cos one of her teeth is too long. She has to go through GA this Thursday just to trim her tooth and to check for any bad ones. Although it's just a minor op, it's a huge thing when rabbits go through GA. Pray hard for her cos she's really a sweet and brave little girl. I took the pics below when they were out playing once. They laid on the floor beside each other. The pic is blurry as I took them from the living room where I sat to use the computer. It was such a lovely sight that I had to take it on the spot without moving an inch...

Roger loves his fiddlesticks house! He absolutely adores it. He would find every opportunity to hide in there and look outrageously adorable with his head outside the fiddlesticks house. Scroll down and have a look :)

Crossing his paws like a lady? Oh NO ROGER!! You are a boy!!! :(

Food

I was at Outback near Suntec City that evening and I had quite a delightful meal.

Below is the nice bread which I ate. It was nice and warm when it came! I love the cheese spread! Nice and yummy bread! Even the ones at Cafe Cartel pales in comparison...

This is the main course which is... a bit chewy... thought that the beef could be better...

The dessert was perfect! I like the feeling of the warm brownie and cold ice cream in the mouth! DELICIOUS!

Other than the beef being a bit too chewy, everything else was still not too bad...

TV

My next favourite show is ... HEROES... and my favourite line is...

Save the cheerleader and save the world...

Oh no... I am turning into a TV junkie... :(
